Dive into the world of Aquatics by taking swim lessons, available for all levels and ages. Expand your skills in health and safety with courses including lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED. All of our programs are open to current Duke students and/or Rec & P.E. members. Some, such as Youth Learn-to-Swim and Red Cross trainings, are open to the general public. No matter the level of skill or interest, there is something for everyone.

Pool and Lane Reservation Notice

Lap Swim Reservations (through 60-minute blocks) to swim at Taishoff Aquatics Pavillion and Brodie Aquatics Center are available at MyRec's Lap Swim Reservation section. Patrons with reservations will be given priority over walk-ins. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis based on facility capacities. Reservations will be from the start of the hour to the end of the hour. Patrons will be allowed to make 2 reservations back-to-back.

MASTERS SWIM

This Adult fitness series is for lap swimmers, fitness swimmers, triathletes, or anyone who is interested in improving their fitness through swimming. A qualified coach will deliver swim workouts and provide feedback to swimmers on technique & performance in a friendly and encouraging environment. You must be able to swim 200 yards continuously. Knowledge of all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) is preferred.
