Membership Types & Rates
Currently enrolled Duke students registered for on-campus classes and paying full student fees in the current semester are Duke Rec & PE members. The typical full-time undergraduate, graduate and professional student pays:
- Recreation Fee | $194.50 per semester ($389 per year)
All undergraduate students and graduate/professional students (in years 1 – 5), should be assessed the Recreation Fee through their Bursar Account at the start of each academic semester. If you DO NOT have the Recreation Fee on your Bursar Account, please contact the Bursar’s Office directly for more information pertaining to your access. Duke Rec & PE does not process the Recreation Fee.
- Students who are not assessed the Recreation Fee (such as those studying abroad or enrolled in distance education programs) are not automatically members but may be eligible to purchase a membership by signing in to the MyRec Portal.
- Ph.D. students in years 6+ who wish to have the Recreation Fee assessed should utilize the opt-in button on DukeHub. Access will begin for these students as of the next business day after they opt-in to the Recreation Fee.
