Aquatics Frequently Asked Questions

Are all aquatics facilities open?
Taishoff will be the only aquatics facility open until further notice. Activity will be limited to lap swimming; one person per lane. Hours of operation can be found on the Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion facility page.

Are there time restrictions to my workout?
Participants are able to reserve one (1) 60 minute block of time at a time. Reservations must be made online prior accessing Taishoff. No walk-ins will be accepted.

How do I access the pool?
Access to Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion will be restricted to the Hall of Fame Entrance (map). Once there, you will bring your Duke ID, swipe for access, and follow additional direction from staff.

How do I cancel a reservation?

  1. In MyRec, click on your photo (top-right)
  2. Select PROFILE
  4. On the registration you want to cancel, click the MORE symbol (3 dots) at the far-right

Do I have to wear a mask while recreating in Taishoff?
A mask will be required as you enter through the Hall of Fame, as well as inside the facility both before and after your swim. Those not wishing to wear a mask will be asked to leave the facility.

How will social distancing protocol be enforced in aquatics spaces?
Access will be limited to one individual per lane during any given 60 minute block. 

How will spaces and equipment be sanitized?
All high touch areas will be cleaned hourly by Duke Aquatics Management. The aquatics pavilion will also be cleaned daily.
