The Department of Recreation & Physical Education offers affordable Rec & P.E. Memberships to students, faculty and staff. Rec & P.E. Memberships for the 2020-2021 academic year will include access to Wilson Recreation Center, including Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion, and the programs offered by Recreation & Physical Education. Physical access to Recreation Facilities will be limited to students residing on campus.

All Rec & PE Memberships can be enrolled in at any time and are prorated based on the date of enrollment. There will a Digital Membership offering available this year; that membership can be purchased at anytime by visiting the MyRec portal.
Digital Memberships will be available to the Duke Community (undergraduates not charged the recreation fee, graduate & professional students, faculty, staff, and alumni) for a small fee starting on Monday, August 17. This new offering will allow members access to virtual fitness programs including group fitness (live and recorded), personal training, and small group programs. Digital Members will also have access to esports leagues/tournaments and Outdoor Adventure trip resources such as Personalized Trip Plans and discounts on Equipment Rentals. The Digital Membership does not provide access to recreation facilities and will not allow you to make a facility reservation through the MyRec portal.
Family and alumni access to the recreation centers has been suspended due to COVID-19 precautions.
All Undergraduate students residing on campus will receive access if they receive a charge for the recreation fee on the bursar account. Students should check with the Bursar’s Office if they have questions regarding payment of a Rec & P.E. Membership.
The use of Trial Membership Cards will be suspended for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Guest Passes will be suspended for the 2020-2021 academic year.
