What to expect

The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. It is designed to give students a positive learning experience. Learn-to-Swim teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in, on and around the water.

Lesson Dates and Registration

Participants can view class dates and register online through their account on MyRec. Registration opens on the 15th of each month.

Youth Learn-to-Swim Details

Lessons are taught at the Brodie Aquatics Center and are held on Mondays/Wednesdays or Saturdays.

Swim Lessons Policies

  1. Students must listen to the instructor and follow all safety rules.
  2. Parent’s must refrain from interacting with the children during lessons.
  3. Instructors reserve the right to move students to the appropriate level based on their skills
  4. We are an inclusive program and expect that all participant’s treat each other and instructors with respect and understanding
