Aquatics

Our Aquatics program is home to two indoor pools and one seasonal outdoor pool. The program also offers swim lessons year round for swimmers of all levels and ages in addition to health and safety courses, such as lifeguarding and first aid and CPR/AED classes. In addition, we offer free weekly swim instruction with our free Swim for Fitness Programs and our Masters Swim Program.

Scuba Course

Taught by certified dive instructors, you can obtain your Scuba certification through participation in our Scuba Courses.

Group Swimming Lessons

We are proud to offer both group and private swim lessons for participants of all ages and experience levels. The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. It is designed to give students a positive learning experience. Learn-to-Swim teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression.

Safety Training

We offer a variety of American Red Cross certification courses including Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED/First Aid Training, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor Courses.

Free Swim Clinics

Whether you’d like to improve your swimming skills to be more comfortable in the water, or would like your swim stroke to be more efficient while exercise or race, we can help. We offer both Swim for Fitness Courses, as well as a Masters Swim Program to suit your swimming needs.

Host your next birthday party at Central Campus Pool! 2 hour birthday rentals are available to purchase in the summer for children ages 5-13.

Family Swim

Family swim is a special time for swimmers of all ages to join their parents in the pool at Brodie. Every Saturday from 3:00–5:00 pm at Brodie Pool, we welcome infants to teenagers who are accompanied by their guardian who is a Duke Recreation member. More info

Private and Semi-Private Lessons

From non-swimmers with a fear of the water to competitive athletes looking to become more efficient, we have swim instructors suited for your needs. We offer private swim lessons for those seeking individual 1-1 attention. Our semi-private lessons are a cost-effective way to learn how to swim. Up to five adults or three children may participate. Semi-private lessons are for friends and family that want to take lessons together
