Group cycling classes are conducted in a darkened setting with strong music beats to create an energized atmosphere. Instructors guide participants through workout phases, including warm-up, steady uptempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc. using an interval training approach. Participants control the resistance on their bike to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as they choose. Constant adjustment is normal. Group Cycling bikes have pedals with straps and toe clips so you can wear regular tennis shoes or Shimano-style SPD cleats.
Group Cycling Policies
Cycle classes are 1 hour long and held on the locker room level of the Wilson Center on a first-come first seated basis, 20 person maximum per class. If arriving early, please form a line toward the racquetball courts. A towel is recommended. Removing pedals is not allowed.
