Duke students and staff with a Recreation Center membership are eligible for a number of free fitness services, including fitness assessments, fitness orientations, and fitness counseling. These services are provided to enhance individuals’ fitness knowledge and skills, help them measure their fitness progress, to enhance awareness of the health benefits of exercise, and to promote realistic fitness and body image goals.
This is also the place to learn details about specialty events like “Welcome Back Workouts” Boot Camps and Fitness Open Houses.
Additionally, Student Affairs offers a few health and fitness-related programs that may complement your fitness program, including physical therapy and nutrition counseling. Links to these programs are available in the Fitness & Wellness resources section. This section also links to informative articles in our Duke Fitness & Wellness blog and the NY Times Wellness blog.
