2015-2016 Membership Rates

The Department of Recreation and Physical Education offers affordable membership opportunities to the Duke University community. Memberships include access to both Wilson and Brodie Recreation Centers as well as access to programs such as personal training, FREE group fitness classes, and FREE fitness orientations at Wilson and Brodie.

* Undergraduate students’ recreation fees are paid through the student’s bursar account per semester. These students are not required to register for a membership as long as they are registered for class in the respective semester.

FAMILY PLAN ENROLLMENT UPDATE

The Primary holder must sponsor immediate family members to include spouse and domestic partner that are NOT employees and children ages 10-18, by visiting http://oit.duke.edu/email-accounts/netid/guest/index.phpto be included on the plan.

Please visit the website and follow the instructions carefully before signing up online or visiting the Card office.

Member & Employee Appreciation Summer Kickoff Schedule:

FAMILY WEEKEND  - August 18 – December 13:

Members and employees that are non-members may bring immediate family members to Brodie and Wilson, at no cost, for a weekend of fun.  Participants must be 10-18 years of age to participate in specific recreational activities. Participants must be 14 years and older to workout with cardio and weight training equipment.

  • Family Swim (includes infants): Saturday 3-5pm at Brodie; Sunday 9am-3pm at Brodie
  • Recreation requires that a parent or guardian, 18 years or older remain in the pool with infants and minors under age 10 at all times.

 PLAY WHERE YOU WORK  – October 1 – 31:

For the entire month of October, employees, staff, and faculty that are non-members are welcome to participate in scheduled group fitness classes, open swim and *clinics, racquetball, squash, climbing wall, cardio, weight training, basketball and many other available activities at Brodie and Wilson at no cost.

  • Clinics at Wilson – Wednesday (12-12:45pm)
  • Clinics for beginners at Brodie – Tuesday (5:30-6:30pm)

IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY! 

We want to celebrate with you by offering 7 free visits during the month of your birthday! Your card can be used at the Wilson Center and Brodie Gym and is valid only during the month of your birthday.  The only requirement is you must present your DukeCard and a valid form of identification that includes your photo and date of birth.

  • You must have a valid DukeCard to participate In all of the above events and opportunities.
  • You are encouraged to visit  recreation.duke.edu for class schedules and other upcoming opportunities planned for late fall and spring semester.

NEW MEMBER INCENTIVE

When you purchase a recreation plan between July 1 and July 31, 2015, you are eligible to receive one of the following FREE memberships for the enrollment period July 2016 – June 2017:

  • Level 1 – Individual Annual Membership
  • Level 2 – Semester Membership
  • Level 3 – Monthly Membership

To register, see the guest attendant at Brodie Gym or Wilson Center throughout the month of July to complete a registration card. Offer ends July 31, 2015 at 10:00am. One entry per person.

  • Winners will be notified in writing with instructions on how to redeem the membership.
  • Eligibility extends to members, employees, and staff/faculty that are non-members only

New to Memberships!

Effective September 1, members may use the climbing wall at no additional fee
